The Family

While many of our couples are keen to elope to exotic shores, others want their family and friends to celebrate the occasion with them. Just let us know what you need and we can arrange group departures for them, for the whole holiday or just part of your stay. When you book your Group with Lee Travel you may be entitled to a generous discount.

Your Questions Answered

Q. If I stay at an All-Inclusive resort, can friends and family join me for my wedding celebrations?
A. Yes, however, if they are not staying in the same resort, a charge in most instances will be payable locally for a daypass enabling them to utilise the all-inclusive facilities.

Q. What if my documents are not in English?
A. All resort authorities insist on either English or French language documents. If yours are in another language, you must have them officially translated and take the translation as well as the original documentation with you when travelling.

Q. What happens when I arrive in my wedding resort in Mauritius?
A. You will be contacted by our representative or hotel wedding co-ordinator, who will run through all the wedding details with you and help you choose your ideal location for the ceremony.

Important Considerations

You need to spend at least 7 nights at your chosen hotel. After 3 working days, your wedding may be conducted subject to availability. Weddings celebrated in the hotels are conducted Mondays to Fridays after official working hours (1600hrs) and excluding Public Holidays. To marry in Mauritius you must be 18 years of age or over.

Documents Required

Photocopies of the documents listed must be with Twohigs Worldwide Holidays at least 10 weeks before you travel. (PLEASE TRAVEL WITH ALL NECESSARY ORIGINAL DOCUMENTATION)

• Birth Certificates of the Couple.
• Valid 10 year passports of the Couple (copy of the 1st three pages of each passport required in advanced).
• Occupations of the Couple (proof required from employer).
• Full names & actual residential address of the couple (proof required eg. electricity or telephone bill).
• Adoption Certificate if either partner is adopted.
• Relevant documents in case of a change of name.
• If divorced - Decree Absolute. If the bride to be has been divorced for less than 10 months at the time of the wedding, a medical certificate to confirm that she is not pregnant must be obtained in Mauritius at a charge.
• If widowed - Death certificate of former spouse and previous Marriage Certificate of former spouse and previous Marriage Certificate if your name has been changed by Deed Poll (legal proof).

Catholic Religious Wedding Ceremony

Yes, we can arrange a Catholic Wedding in Mauritius which is recognised by the church in Ireland. Full details of all requirements will be provided when you call our Weddings Co-ordinator

Optional Extras at Individual Hotels

At all featured hotels, extras are offered to the couple for a fee. Flowers, photography, video filming, additional champagne, sun-set dinners and drinks can be arranged. We will always do our best to carry out any special requests but please note that each hotel offers its own individual arrangements which we may not be able to modify. Lee Travel can however provide you with a list of optional extras at your chosen hotel when booking. All extras are individually priced and are payable locally to the hotel.
