Situated between Malgrat de Mar and Pineda de Mar, this quiet village offers 2km of broad beaches, with golden sand, surrounded by pine groves.  Santa Susanna is one of the  Maresme villages with the most surviving ancient watchtowers.  They were built from the 15th to 18th centuries to defend against pirate attacks and, of the seven still bin existence, one is home to the train station (for trains along the coast and to Barcelona).
