Everest Base Camp - Lee Travel

Everest Base Camp trek

The Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most famous and exhilarating treks in the world - reaching the expedition and climber's base camp below the towering bulk of mighty Mount Everest itself. Be awed by the power, might and glory of many 7,000m and 8,000m mountain peaks as you trek along the Khumbu Glacier to Base Camp and later walk up the steep ridge of Mount Kala Patthar to take in its stunning visa of the entire Khumbu Valley and Mount Everest and the neighboring summits of Lhotse and Nuptse. There are just too many gorgeous icy peaks to count from this vantage point.

Your itinerary provides some initial pre-trek time in Kathmandu to recover from your international flight and to make the final preparations for your actual trek. The trek phase starts with a short and scenic 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to the little airport at Lukla just south of the Sagarmatha National Park that protects the entire Mount Everest region and its fantastic landscapes, valleys, lakes and mountains. Your trek then heads north along the Dudh Kosi River Valley to Namche Bazaar and then further north-east and ultimately along the Khumbu Valley and its glacier that flows from the flanks of Mount Everest itself. You also have the opportunity to visit the famous Tengboche Monastery along the way.

This is a trek you will remember and treasure for the rest of your life. Once of the classic treks of the world. Please take a few moments to look through our itinerary information and the map of the route this trek follows.
